The Fenghuang Trust is an upstart fund based in Needham Massachusetts. Founded and currently managed by William Fan. The name was chosen to honor the Chinese mythical phoenix, representing the high virtue, grace and sense of duty that we hope to instill in our officers. This trust is based on non-live paper trading and no money is actually risked in the decision making process.
Fund Goals:
This fund is made to encourage the discipline, money management, financial, managerial, and trading/ investment processes that go on in many private funds. As this is a "practice fund" it's important to make decisions professionally, but also to keep an open and friendly atmosphere expected by our virtual clients. How we reach our goals will be determined by looking at previous performance of this fund.
What we offer:
At Fenghunag Trust, we value our clients. That's why we believe in rock solid performance and management decisions that are run prudently. Our services focus on equities and currency spots with concentration in technical trading. Our advisers will tailor an appropriate level of risk and wealth management strategy for each of its customers. For more information, please contact us.
How does the Fund work:
Trades and investments are calculated in real time with commission and slippage included to best emulate a dynamic market system. The Think Or Swim investment platform will be used for equities and the MT4 platform will be used for currency trades. These platforms have data feeds that emulate the actual markets to within 5-10 minutes. Due to this time lag, only platform or historical data after the 5-10 min lag is used to prevent future leak.
Investment/ Trade Notification:
Account transactions will be posted promptly on this blog as they are made to ensure the highest honesty and transparency. Because consistency and reasoning is valued at Fenghuang, transactions will be accompanied with an appropriate reason for buy sell or hold. Ongoing positions will be tracked to engage learning of money management followed with professional quality monthly financial updates/ recaps. Smaller weekly recaps will be posted to keep our virtual investors notified.
Why Currencies and index equities?
We at Fenghunag believe that money is entrusted to us, in the hope that appreciable returns are made by our staff and analysts. As such, we have our clients' wealth and happiness as our greatest aspiration. While our trading styles offer many risk tolerances, we simply do not believe in the idea that more risk = more return. In accordance with this belief, we do not offer financing solutions beyond micro-finanicng, nor do we deal with derivatives and or exotic equities. Instead, we deal with high liquidity markets like index funds. To even out the lack of movement in index funds, we often make trades on shorter time frames from hourly to daily. Because currencies tend to be more volatile in theses time frames, we can utilize them for maximum profit, while maintain an acceptable level of risk as defined by your tolerance. Safe, consistent and effective is the name of our game.
Why a Trust Fund?
We at Fenghuang believe that money earned from the markets must be reinvested back into the global economy for a healthy and growing society, less economic disparity continue. As such, in addition to disbursing your fair share of the earnings, we take at least 5% out of our books if excess profits exist from your management fees and donate it to charitable organizations, global microfinance opportunities and relief funds. The other 95% will be placed into a an account called "firm compounding interest" in which we take our earnings and put it into the same exact trades we do for you and profit from any earnings. This way, you get your profits, we expand and the global economy will thank us for it.
